Buttermilk Cake with Caramel Icing

Great little recipe from lottieanddoof.com

If you don't have any buttermilk, just add a tablespoon of white vinegar or lime juice to a cup of milk.

The icing is fantastic. And you just have to heat up brown sugar and cream..

What you need:
  • 2 cups of flour
  • Half a pack of baking powder (teaspoon)
  • Some salt
  • A stick of butter (or 4 tablespoons)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • Some vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of buttermilk
For icing:
  • cup of cream
  • A cup of brown sugar
  • Vanilla extract
1. Add ingredients of cake to a bowl, stir well.

2. Preheat oven to 170C. Bake in cake tin for 30 minutes.

3. Heat up cream, sugar, vanilla extract in small saucepan, until boiling.

4. Pour over cake, and obsess about how the icing reflects the flash of the camera.
