Vegan: Brownies

Who could live without brownies? This recipe doesn't require any eggs or milk. And it's super easy. Nice and crunchy. Don't forget to add some walnut or pecan crunch.

They come out nice and doughy, just like the dairy equivalent. The cocoa powder I used was pure, which means there was no milk powder, except for the 'possibility of traces of milk.'

What you need:
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 cup of soy milk - I highly recommend using vanilla flavoured
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • Optional: Vanilla extract
  • Walnuts or pecans - about a cup will do
1. Preheat oven to 350F.

2. Combine dry ingredients, add the rest, and stir. Add pecans or walnuts at the end.

3. Bake for 25 minutes or until not shiny anymore in a casserole dish. Poke to test if cooked.
