Cinnamon Roll Brioche

Just the other day, I decided to do something with the elderflowers blooming in my mom's garden. Simply added to some lemon juice and peel, sugar and water, it makes for some amazing syrup. A great summer's day drink, when added to cold water, or alcohol with it makes amazing drinks (gin and bubbly wine especially). Turns out we yielded about a gallon of it, standing in our fridge.

This recipe usually is done with sugar and cinnamon. I substituted some elderflower syrup instead. Your choice.

What you need:
  • 4 cups of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of warm milk
  • 2 packets of yeast
  • More sugar (about a cup)
  • Cinnamon
  • Butter (a cup will do)
1. Heat up oil, warm milk, sugar. Cool down, add yeast, and let stand for 5 minutes.

2. Add flour, baking powder to make kneadable dough. Knead.

3. Let rise for an hour.

4. Punch the dough, roll out on floured surface.

5. Generously sprinkle with cinnamon and cup of sugar and melted cup of butter.

6. Roll 'em up. Slice them and arrange as wanted.

7. Bake for 15 minutes

8. Cover everything with 2 cups of powdered sugar and some milk and cinnamon.
